1st shift 6:00am - 4:30pm Fitter Job Summary A Fitter is responsible for assembling, installing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment. This role requires interpreting technical drawings, using hand and power tools, and ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards. Fitter Key Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications Assemble and fit mechanical components and systems Install machinery and equipment according to specifications Perform maintenance and repairs on equipment and machinery Align and adjust components to ensure optimal performance Inspect finished work to ensure compliance with quality standards Troubleshoot mechanical issues and recommend solutions Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments safely and effectively Follow all workplace safety policies and procedures Maintain accurate records of work performed Fitter Required Skills & Qualifications Proven experience as a fitter, mechanic, or similar role Strong understanding of mechanical systems and tools Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics Good manual dexterity and attention to detail Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Knowledge of safety standards and procedures Fitter Physical Requirements Ability to lift heavy materials (often up to 50 lbs) Comfortable standing, bending, and working in various positions Ability to work in industrial or outdoor environments This is a temp to hire position.
