Job Description

Melt Crew The Melt Crew is responsible for safely handling molten metal at extremely high temperatures, supporting daily furnace operations, and maintaining related equipment such as ladles and refractory linings. This includes preparing and pouring metal, performing routine repairs, and ensuring all work is conducted with a strong focus on safety, teamwork, and attention to detail. Reporting To Darrin Steadman How You Will Help:
The melt crew must be able to interact with liquid metal at temperatures exceeding (2800) degrees. Responsible for maintaining holders / ladles and at times repairs on the furnace including daily patches, repairs and relining the refractory. Preparing the pouring ladles for daily use; pouring metal into ladles. Ability to take direction from supervisor; understanding temperatures; molten iron safety; assisting with the cleaning/maintaining furnaces ladles. Perform all duties in a safe and responsible manner.
What You Will Bring:
Must be able to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed instructions. Must be able to discern imperfections, understand quality of repairs of iron holders / ladles. Must be able to understand basic addition to tally units per training. Must be able to learn job duties and locations from verbal instructions. Additional responsibilities and duties may be assigned. Employee must be able to obtain a tow motor license and successfully pass LOTO and confined space training. Must be available for weekend and overtime assignments as required.
Compensation:
$23.50 + shift differential (depending on shift) USD hourly. Health benefits On-site nurse 401k and Paid Holidays after 90 days.
