Job Description

POSITION - SHOP ASSOCIATE
Material pre-pack prep and de-burring Packing and bundling Truck loading and unloading Shop upkeep and trash disposal Steel dust collection Crane operation Machine setup support Training consists of proper use and safety with overhead cranes, loading and unloading of tractor trailers, hand tools and power tools such as grinders. In addition to full documentation of job orders, production record systems, final product quality checks, and calibration records. Education of the steel polishing trade as well as the purpose and uses of polished stainless alloys are part of the on-going training process. Qualifications Reliability and excellent attendance Reading and writing Time management Positive attitude Teamwork Hand-grinding experience (preferred but not required) Overhead crane experience (preferred but not required)
COMPANY DESCRIPTION
Stainless Steel Services is the premiere North American source for quality stainless steel grinding and polishing. Using large abrasive belt sanding machines, SSS takes flat stainless steel plate and sheet metal and produces a specified polished surface ordered by our customers. The workplace is industrial, hands-on work and busy atmosphere. Work is performed independently as well as in a supportive team setting. Must be physically hard working as well as careful and detail-oriented. Our facility is a physically and mentally safe environment where all individuals are respected.
