Job Overview:
Responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining International Organization for Standardization (ISO) tanks in accordance with established industry and company standards. Involves the use of various tools and equipment to perform mechanical and structural repairs, ensures compliance with customer specifications, and maintains safety and quality requirements. Assists with general yard and depot operations as needed. This position will receive Introductory Training of the Large Quantity Generator regulations within 6 months of employment, and Annual Refresher Training of the Large Quantity Generator regulations thereafter.

Full-time Non-Exempt Schedule:
Works 8:00am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. On occasion, some additional work hours and weekends may be required.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Inspects ISO tanks upon entering the shop to confirm tank is empty and clean. Tests and calibrates safety relief valves, vacuum relief valves, and other pressure systems. Generates repair estimates for additional work identified during testing. Follows established quality control and quality assurance procedures to ensure all repairs meet customer requirements and company standards. Conducts daily inspections and ensures safe operation of all equipment. Documents repair methods and completes work in the Depot Software with consistency and accuracy. Carries out mechanical and structural repairs using measuring devices, hand tools, power tools, hoists, forklifts, and other equipment per customer requirements once work is approved. Completes leak, pressure, periodic, and hydrostatic testing on ISO tanks in accordance with customer specifications, company procedures, and regulatory inspection intervals. Performs welding and fabrication on trailers, ISO tanks, and related equipment using the following techniques: Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW/MIG), Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW/TIG), and Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW/Stick). Adheres to all personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements and safety procedures. Supports other yard and depot operations as required. Performs other duties as assigned.
Specific Skills:
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, including blueprints, technical manuals, and repair instructions. Excellent organizational and time management abilities. Possesses general mechanical and electrical knowledge. Ability to work with steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. Must be able to safely perform work in confined space environments. Experience with and ability to properly use hand tools, power tools, hoists, forklifts, and related equipment. Working knowledge of applicable state and federal regulations, including OSHA standards related to hazardous materials, PPE, material handling, and confined spaces. Strong knowledge of ISO tank construction, valves, and fittings.
Minimum Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum Experience:
2 years of mechanical experience in a production environment and in metal fabrication and welding processes, including FCAW, GMAW/MIG, GTAW/TIG, and SMAW/Stick.
Certifications & Licenses:
Valid driver's license is required. AWS or equivalent welding certification is preferred.

N/A Physical Requirements :
Possess close visual acuity and visual acuity to perform activities such as machine operations and mechanical or skilled trades tasks, ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, stand, walk, grasp, talk, hear, perform repetitive motion, and exert up to 100lbs of force occasionally, 50lbs frequently, and 20lbs constantly.
Working Conditions :
Subject to activities inside and outside with temperatures possibly below 32 degrees and above 100 degrees for more than one hour, noise above the ambient noise level, vibration, moving mechanical parts, fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases, poor ventilation, oils wear a respirator, close quarters, and narrow aisles and passageways.
