Structural Steel Fitters

Position Summary We are seeking experienced Structural Steel Fitters to join our fabrication team. This role is responsible for reading blueprints, laying out structural components, and fitting steel members to meet project specifications. Fitters play a key role in ensuring accuracy, quality, and efficiency in production. Key Responsibilities Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and layout details Lay out, fit, and assemble structural steel components Verify dimensions, tolerances, and alignment before welding Work closely with welders and operators to complete assemblies Use measuring tools, squares, and layout equipment accurately Identify and correct fit-up issues to maintain quality standards Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work area Qualifications Minimum 2+ years of structural steel fitting experience preferred Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints required Proficient in using tape measure, squares, levels, and layout tools Experience working with beams, columns, and structural assemblies Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship Why Ennis Steel? Pay:

$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
