Worth, TX. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse fabrication projects, transforming steel components into precise, durable structures. As a key member of our manufacturing and construction operations, you will be responsible for fabricating steel assemblies that meet strict quality standards and project specifications. Your expertise will help ensure the successful delivery of complex steel structures across various construction sites, contributing to the safety and integrity of our projects. This paid position is ideal for individuals passionate about fabrication, mechanical systems, and construction processes who thrive in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately fabricate steel components. Operate various hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and welding equipment including
MIG, TIG, FCAW
(Flux-Cored Arc Welding) Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to ensure components meet exact specifications. Cut, bend, drill, and assemble sheet metal and structural steel using rigging, machining tools, and assembly techniques. Perform welding tasks adhering to ASME codes & standards while maintaining safety protocols on construction sites or manufacturing facilities. Conduct pipe threading, ductwork fabrication, and assembly of mechanical systems as required by project scope. Operate forklifts and other machinery safely to transport materials within the work area. Maintain accurate documentation of fabrication processes and quality checks in compliance with schematics and project requirements. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot fabrication issues and optimize workflow efficiency. Qualifications Proven construction site experience with a strong understanding of steel fabrication processes. Skilled in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW, certifications preferred. Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and basic math calculations for measurements and material estimates. Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, plasma cutting equipment, press brake machines, calipers, micrometers, and other fabrication tools. Knowledge of rigging procedures for lifting heavy steel components safely on-site or in the shop environment. Mechanical knowledge related to pipe threading, machining operations, soldering, assembly processes, and ductwork fabrication. Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification is a plus. Understanding of ASME codes & standards applicable to steel fabrication and welding practices. Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills; ability to follow detailed schematics accurately. Join us in shaping the future of construction through innovative steel fabrication!
