THE OPPORTUNITY
Simple Services keeps over 300 multifamily and commercial properties across DFW maintained and move-in ready. Our resurfacing division handles some of the most visible turns in that promise: restoring worn tubs, dated Formica countertops, tired fiberglass showers, and stained sinks to a like-new finish — without the cost and downtime of full replacement. When a resident walks into that unit, the surfaces should look brand new. We're growing, and we're looking for experienced independent resurfacing subcontractors who want consistent work, clear standards, and a company that treats you like a professional. If you take pride in a flawless finish and know that the job is won or lost in the prep, this is worth reading.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Every assignment is a resurfacing job at a multifamily or commercial property — porcelain and fiberglass tubs, Formica laminate countertops, one- and multi-piece fiberglass shower enclosures, and porcelain or fiberglass sinks. You'll follow the Simple Services resurfacing procedure, which carries every job from surface assessment through final QA, re-caulk, and cure handoff. On every job, you will: Assess and photograph every surface and confirm the substrate before you start — natural stone, quartz/engineered stone, solid surface, and stainless steel are out of scope Mask and protect the full work area, and establish active ventilation before opening any coating product Complete surface prep to standard: strip all caulk, clean and degrease, IPA wipe, and sand to a uniform dull profile — no shiny spots, because prep is where a coating succeeds or fails Repair chips and damage, then apply primer/adhesion promoter and two-part topcoat by the manufacturer TDS — correct mix ratios by weight, flash times, and coat build Re-caulk seams, remove masking cleanly, and finish to zero runs, sags, holidays, or thin spots Document conditions, products, and before-and-after photos in ServiceTitan, and leave cure instructions with the on-site contact before lockout
WHO YOU ARE
You're not a first-timer. You've refinished tubs, tile, and countertops professionally — spray application with an HVLP gun, two-part coatings, the works — and you understand that a finish is only as good as the surface underneath it. You're a good fit if: You have verifiable experience in tub, tile, countertop, or sink resurfacing, refinishing, or reglazing You identify substrates correctly and match product, primer, and technique to each — you don't guess You follow written procedures and manufacturer data sheets precisely: mix ratios, flash windows, and cure schedules are not suggestions You show up on time, in uniform, with a fully stocked vehicle and calibrated spray equipment — every time You understand chemical safety — isocyanates, epoxies, and solvents — and you wear the right PPE, including a half-face respirator with OV/P100 cartridges (an N95 is not sufficient), and keep SDS documentation for everything on your truck You document accurately and promptly; photos aren't optional, they're protection for everyone You carry general liability insurance and, where applicable, workers' compensation coverage This isn't the right fit if… You skip prep steps, guess at substrates, improvise on mix ratios, or treat cure times as optional. Our QA standard is the same on every surface and every unit — uniform color and sheen, full coverage, and zero runs or holidays — because that consistency is exactly what our customers pay for. If you're not ready to operate within that framework, this won't be a good partnership.
THE STANDARDS YOU'LL BE HELD TO
Simple Services uses a formal QA process. Every finished surface is inspected under direct and raking light, and before-and-after photos are reviewed in ServiceTitan after every job. Our Service Line Manager conducts announced and unannounced site audits, and every coating failure — peeling, runs, holidays — is traced to root cause. Recurring quality deficiencies trigger a performance review and a temporary pause in assignment. We're transparent about this because we want partners who see the standard as something they're proud of — not something to work around.
WHAT WE BRING
Consistent resurfacing work across DFW — our property management relationships are long-term and growing Clear, written procedures and a full training manual — there's no guessing what the standard is A defined set of approved coating products with TDS references, so you're never working off the wrong data sheet A company that treats subcontractors with respect and communicates directly A Service Line Manager who is reachable, responsive, and in your corner when a unit throws a surprise
REQUIREMENTS

Required PPE:
half-face respirator with organic vapor / P100 cartridges, safety glasses or goggles, nitrile gloves, and a chemical-resistant apron General liability insurance on file with Simple Services before any assignment begins Smartphone with the ability to document work and photos in ServiceTitan Reliable transportation to DFW properties, and safe, temperature-controlled storage for coating materials Clean professional appearance; full Simple Services uniform required on every job
