Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Light Miscellaneous Fitter/Welder and become a vital contributor to fabrication, assembly, and maintenance projects across construction and manufacturing sites. This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your welding expertise, mechanical knowledge, and fabrication skills in a fast-paced environment. You will work on diverse tasks that require precision, safety awareness, and a proactive attitude to ensure high-quality results and project success. Duties Perform
MIG, TIG, FCAW
(Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and <
LOCATION
> welding on various metal components including sheet metal, ductwork, and structural steel. Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately fabricate and assemble parts according to specifications. Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers, and schematics to measure, cut, shape, and assemble metal components with precision. Operate fabrication equipment such as press brake machines, plasma cutters, and pipe threading tools to produce accurate parts. Conduct rigging, mechanical assembly, pipe threading, and welding tasks adhering to ASME codes & standards for safety and quality compliance. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols related to construction site activities and welding procedures. Assist with fabrication of ductwork, structural supports, or other custom metal assemblies as needed for projects. Use forklifts and other material handling equipment safely to move heavy materials or finished products around the worksite. Collaborate with team members on schematic interpretation and mechanical troubleshooting to ensure efficient workflow. Experience Proven construction site experience with hands-on welding (MIG, TIG, FCAW) in industrial or manufacturing settings. Skilled in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and basic math calculations for fabrication accuracy. Familiarity with power tools, hand tools, plasma cutting equipment, press brake machines, and sheet metal fabrication techniques. Knowledge of ASME codes & standards related to welding and fabrication practices. Experience working with rigging equipment and performing pipe threading or soldering tasks is preferred. Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification is a plus. Mechanical aptitude with understanding of schematics and mechanical drawings for assembly tasks. Pay:
$19.00 - $22.00 per hour
