Job Description

Chipton-Ross is seeking a Composite Technician for a contract opportunity in Salt Lake City, UT.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
(REQUIRED
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
): Willingness to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime as needed Able to perform physical activities such as climbing, bending, kneeling, and lifting
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role, you will be responsible for assembling metal structure components with precision and efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of blueprints and production orders and the ability to operate various hand and power tools. Duties may include (but are not limited to): Performs composite lay-up, fabrication and assembly tasks Assembles precision mechanical and electro-mechanical components Assembles and installs wire harnesses and avionics products Performs basic organic chemical conversion and paint preparation Applies routine organic coatings for corrosion protection and appearance requirements Works on articles of moderate complexity using established drawings and requirements
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
(DESIRED
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
): 1+ years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience 3+ months experience in Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing experience Experience with managing or working to safety, quality, and manufacturing performance data Experience with Lean Principles (Continuous Improvement, Standard Work, and 5-S tools)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Able to perform physical activities such as climbing, bending, kneeling, and lifting. Able to lift/carry up to 35 lbs.
REQUIRED EDUCATION
Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. high school diploma/GED).

FULL
TIME/SECOND SHIFT
; 3:30 PM - 12:00
PM Pay:
$25.00 - $32.50 per hour
