The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in various aspects of ironwork, including fabrication, welding, and installation. As an Ironworker, you will be responsible for constructing and installing metal structures, ensuring they meet safety standards and specifications. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with other construction professionals. Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine project specifications. Fabricate and assemble metal structures using various materials such as steel and aluminum. Utilize power tools and equipment, including cranes and rigging systems, to lift and position heavy components. Perform welding tasks to join metal parts securely. Install and sheet metal components as required by project plans. Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure quality standards are met. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and regulations. Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively. Experience Proven experience as an Ironworker or in a similar role within the construction industry is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate cranes and rigging equipment safely. Proficiency in welding techniques and the use of power tools is essential. Familiarity with fabricating and sheet metal components is a plus. Ability to use measuring tools such as micrometers for precise measurements.
