Day Shift \u007C Monday-Friday, 5:00 AM-3:00 PM (Overtime and occasional Saturdays as needed)
Starting Pay:
From $22.00 per hour (Higher pay available based on experience) Position Summary We're looking for an experienced fabricator to build custom architectural and miscellaneous metal products in a production shop. This position involves fabricating, fitting, and welding steel components while working from detailed shop drawings and production specifications. The ideal candidate enjoys hands-on work, produces high-quality craftsmanship, and can adapt to changing production priorities. Daily Responsibilities Fabricate custom metal products such as handrails, guardrails, stair assemblies, ladders, and other miscellaneous steel fabrications . Interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, work orders, and shop specifications to complete projects accurately. Measure, mark, cut, fit, assemble, weld, and finish steel components. Operate fabrication equipment including band saws, shears, press brakes, welding machines , and other shop tools. Perform Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW) as required during fabrication. Inspect completed assemblies for dimensional accuracy, fit, finish, and overall quality before release. Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and production personnel to maintain project schedules. Identify fabrication issues and recommend practical improvements when needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation. Shift between multiple projects as production demands change while maintaining quality standards. Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Previous experience fabricating miscellaneous metals, custom steel products, rail systems, or similar assemblies. Experience performing FCAW welding ; welding certifications are considered a plus. Ability to accurately read blueprints, fabrication drawings, and shop documentation. Strong attention to detail and pride in producing quality work. Good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple assignments. Ability to safely lift materials weighing up to 50 pounds . Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Reliable team player with a flexible approach to changing workloads. Shop Environment This position works in an indoor fabrication facility where employees are regularly exposed to: Welding fumes Dust and paint vapors Industrial machinery Moving equipment Electrical hazards Moderate to high noise levels Required PPE includes: Safety glasses Protective footwear Hearing protection Appropriate shop clothing Long pants are required while working in the fabrication area.
