Manufacturing Full Job Description Rail & Miscellaneous Metals Fabricator Pay:
Competitive; based on experience Description Cannonball Recruiting is seeking an experienced Rail & Miscellaneous Metals Fabricator for a growing steel fabrication company in Virginia. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled fabricator who enjoys working in a fast-paced shop environment producing custom railings, handrails, and miscellaneous metal components. The ideal candidate will have experience reading blueprints, fitting and welding components, and operating fabrication equipment while maintaining high quality standards. Experience Experience in rail, miscellaneous metals, or structural steel fabrication preferred Experience with MIG, TIG, and Stick welding Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and fabrication specifications Experience using fabrication tools, measuring devices, and layout equipment Experience operating cold saws, band saws, pipe notchers, grinders, and other fabrication equipment Experience using forklifts, pallet jacks, and overhead cranes is a plus Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Ability to work independently and as part of a team Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints to fabricate railings, handrails, and miscellaneous metal components Gather, prepare, fit, and assemble materials according to project specifications Perform MIG, TIG, and Stick welding as required Position, align, fit, and weld parts to form complete assemblies and subassemblies Operate fabrication equipment including cold saws, band saws, pipe notchers, and grinders Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and overhead cranes as needed Work closely with quality control personnel to ensure finished products meet specifications Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Adapt to changing production schedules and priorities Requirements High School Diploma or GED preferred Experience using tape measures, hand tools, and fabrication equipment Ability to read and interpret blueprints, safety procedures, and technical documents Knowledge of fabrication and layout techniques Basic math skills, including fractions, measurements, and geometry Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Ability to handle multiple projects and changing priorities Benefits Health Insurance (Medical, Dental, and Vision) Life Insurance 401(k) with Company Match Competitive Pay Paid Time Off Career Growth Opportunities Stable, Long-Term Employment Employee Appreciation Events Team-Oriented Work Environment All offers of employment are contingent upon the successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
