Metal Fabricator - Signage

Overview:

Waypoint is adding a metal fabricator to our Team. The ideal candidate would have experience building frames and cabinets for use in electrical and non-electrical signs. Strong knowledge of aluminum prep and welding plus the ability to read shop drawings is needed.

Duties:

Fabrication of structures/frames and cabinets for both illuminated and non-illuminated signs. Cut, grind, weld, epoxy needed materials as detailed in drawings. Provide input to the design department on construction methods and construction details. Assist other departments as needed.- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and drawings to determine job requirements Use of company ERP System - SquareCoil Proper use of Hand and Power tools Ensure tools and equipment are functioning properly. Keep workspace clean and organized. Participate in shop safety training.

Skills:

Experience in machining metal parts to precise measurements Familiarity with reading and interpreting schematics and blueprints Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship Operate power tools and machinery such as saws, grinders, and drills Fabricate metal parts using various techniques including welding, cutting, bending, and assembling Task and time oriented Able to work independently Details of Employment This is a full-time, hourly position. Seventy-five percent Paid Health Care Benefits available after 90 days of employment (Regence) 1 hour of PTO is accrued per every 40 hours of work. 1 week of vacation Paid holidays Principals only.
