This energetic position requires a skilled professional who thrives in fast-paced environments, demonstrates precision, and possesses a strong mechanical aptitude. As an Ironworker, you'll work on diverse projects that challenge your expertise and allow you to showcase your craftsmanship, ensuring safety and quality at every step. Your contributions will directly impact the successful completion of major construction endeavors, making a lasting impression on the built environment. Duties Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately assemble steel structures and components. Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment (including
SMAW, FCAW, TIG
), and plasma cutters to cut, weld, and assemble metal parts according to specifications. Utilize cranes and rigging gear to lift and position heavy steel sections safely and efficiently. Follow ASME codes & standards to maintain compliance with safety and quality regulations during fabrication and installation. Maintain a clean workspace by organizing tools, materials, and debris while adhering to safety protocols at all times. Skills Extensive construction site experience with a focus on steel erection and structural assembly. Proficiency in
SMAW, FCAW, TIG
welding techniques, and soldering for diverse metal types. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, mechanical drawings, and schematics accurately. Strong understanding of rigging principles for lifting heavy steel components safely with cranes or forklifts. Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to fabrication tolerances, and project estimations. Familiarity with manufacturing processes relevant to construction environments including welding standards under ASME codes & standards.
