Metal Fabricator Must be able to apply, remove, and repair, such as air ducts, hot or cold pipes, storage tanks, boilers, and buildings. You should be reading and interpreting the design blueprints. You should also be preparing fabrication and welding various metal components and structures. As a Metal Fabricator, you are responsible for working with a variety of fabrication machinery and tools. As an ideal candidate, you should possess an excellent ability to understand technical drawings. Prior experience as a Metal Fabricator in the Production or Construction industry will be an advantage. Other duties may be assigned.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Reads blueprints, layout and fabricates parts. Interpreting assembly drawings and instructions. Understanding the clients' requirements and specifications. Using tape measure or other measuring device, measure and cut. Cutting and bending metal objects. Welding metals components and materials. Developing layouts and design plans. Preparing a sequence of operations to accomplish the task. Maintaining the machine tools and equipment such as drill press, edge planner, etc. Performing quality control checks on the finished product. Adhering to the company's safety standards Knowledge of fabrication tools and Equipment Demonstrate excellent eye-hand coordination Exceptional physical stamina Ability to work for long periods of time if required. Demonstrate the ability to lift heavy objects Excellent knowledge and experience in welding Ability to operate different types of fabrication equipment Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to interpret technical drawings and instructions Hardworking and detail-oriented individual.
