Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and skilled MIG Welder to join our dynamic fabrication team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing high-quality welding operations on various metal components, primarily utilizing Metal Inert Gas (MIG) welding techniques. Your expertise will contribute to the construction and manufacturing of durable structures, ductwork, and custom fabrications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, ensuring precision and adherence to safety standards while maintaining a fast-paced, energetic work environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
    Education:
    High School Diploma or GED equivalent (preferred)
      Experience:
      1-2 years of MIG welding experience preferred
      • Must be able to read tape measures and blueprints accurately
      • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently (and up to 100 pounds with assistance)
      • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
      • Self-motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision
      • Basic construction knowledge preferred, especially related to hollow metal and commercial hardware applications Responsibilities Set up and operate MIG welding equipment to join sheet metal, pipe, and structural components according to blueprints and schematics Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and welding symbols to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly Prepare materials by cleaning, cutting, and positioning using hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, and press brake machines Conduct quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools to verify weld integrity and dimensions Follow safety protocols diligently when working on construction sites or manufacturing floors, including rigging and crane operations when necessary Maintain a clean work area by organizing tools and disposing of scrap materials properly Collaborate with team members on complex fabrication projects involving ASME codes & standards and mechanical knowledge Skills Extensive construction site experience with a strong understanding of safety procedures Proficiency in MIG welding techniques; familiarity with FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding) is a plus Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately Experience with plasma cutting, press brake machines, and pipe threading processes Knowledge of rigging, crane operation, forklift handling, and basic math for measurements and calculations Competence in using hand tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers, soldering equipment, and mechanical assembly tools Familiarity with ASME codes & standards governing manufacturing and fabrication processes Mechanical knowledge related to ductwork installation, sheet metal fabrication, machining, and assembly processes Join our team where your skills will be valued in a vibrant environment that encourages growth!
