ExacTech is the primary supplier for Marine Travelift and Shuttlelift crane structures, providing steady, in-door work throughout the year. exactechinc/ Job Description ExacTech Inc. in Sturgeon Bay, WI is looking for 1st and 2nd shift Steel Fitters to join our team. As part of a turnkey heavy fabrication team, fitter welders are responsible for the layout and fabrication of metal components to assemble structural steel. We are proud to offer in-house job training for all our team members. 1stShift:
Monday-Thursday 5:45AM-3:15PM; Friday 6:45AM-10:45AM (1/2 day Fridays) 2ndShift:
Monday-Thursday 3:30PM-2:00AM (3-day Weekend) Job Responsibilities Layout, fit, and weld fabricated, cast, and forged components to assemble structural forms Put metal parts together to create a finished sheet / structural metal project Use tools such as jacks, pry bars, hammers, saws, welding equipment or torches, and files or grinders Work with handheld torches and/or plasma cutters Position, fit, and align tack parts Read weld blueprints; measure work piece to specifications Use of overhead cranes and jib cranes All other duties and responsibilities that are assigned Job Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent desired Ability to read Blueprints and drawings Ability to use a tape measure and convert measurements into decimals Following verbal and written work instructions Regular attendance required Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unasssited Employee Benefits 2nd shift has a four-day work week and shift differential pay Health, dental, vision, and life insurance plans available the first of the month following date of hire Paid Short-term Disability and Paternity Leave for new parents Eligibility in our 401K benefit plan with company match after 30 days of employment Paid vacation and holidays available at hire Health Saving Account (HSA) plan with employer contribution Participation in the company's semi-annual discretionary incentive plan Job training and advancement opportunities Overtime opportunities available We are an EOE/AA (M/F/Veteran/Disability/Gender Identity/Sexual Orientation) © 2026 Marine Travelift and ExacTechSimilar jobs in Sturgeon Bay, WI
