Iron Worker -Temporary (up to 18 months)

Position Overview Iron Workers at TCL Specialties play a critical role in the construction, installation, and maintenance of structural and reinforcing steel. This position requires strong technical skill, physical capability, and a commitment to safety. Iron Workers work as part of a team to erect steel frameworks, place rebar, install metal components, and support major construction projects from start to finish. This temporary position includes health benefits , 401K with a company match, 18 annual PTO days (more based on industry experience), 6 paid Holidays, 1 paid floating Holiday of your choice, competitive hourly pay, and retention bonuses at the 6‑month and 12‑month marks.

Retention Bonus:

$2,000 after 6 months of continuous employment Additional $2,000 after 12 months of continuous employment

Schedule:

Full‑time; overtime and weekend work may be required Key Responsibilities Structural Steel Install, align, and secure structural steel beams, columns, and girders Bolt, weld, or rivet steel components according to engineered plans Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications Operate cranes, hoists, and rigging equipment to move heavy materials Reinforcing Steel (Rebar) Cut, bend, tie, and place reinforcing steel for concrete structures Follow placement drawings to ensure correct spacing and layout Secure rebar using hand tools, power tools, and tying equipment Rigging & Safety Set up and inspect rigging, slings, chokers, and lifting devices Work at heights using fall‑protection equipment Follow all TCL safety policies, OSHA standards, and site‑specific procedures Participate in daily safety meetings and hazard assessments General Duties Collaborate with foremen, supervisors, and other trades Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas Perform additional tasks as assigned to support project goals Required Skills & Qualifications Experience in structural or reinforcing ironwork Ability to read construction drawings and follow instructions Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and rigging equipment Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying weather Strong physical stamina and manual dexterity Reliable attendance and teamwork mindset Preferred Qualifications

NCCER, OSHA
