Natural Gas Pipeline Superintendent / Field Manager (Contract) Ryanco Construction Palmdale, CA Job Details Contract $100 - $150 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Management Utility system installation projects Coating Welding Pipeline Full Job Description RyanCo Construction is seeking an experienced Natural Gas Pipeline Superintendent / Field Manager to assist with the execution of a short-duration federal utility project in Palmdale, California. This is a contract assignment expected to last approximately 2-4 weeks. We are seeking an experienced gas utility professional who can provide both field leadership and technical guidance throughout construction. The ideal candidate has direct experience with steel natural gas pipeline installation, welding coordination, coating, testing, tie-ins, utility coordination, inspections, and project closeout. We are specifically looking for someone who has successfully managed gas utility pipeline work in the field and can help coordinate qualified welding resources, inspections, testing, and overall execution of the gas pipeline scope.
Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee field operations for the gas pipeline scope Coordinate welding subcontractors and specialty contractors Assist with identifying qualified welding and coating resources Coordinate inspections, testing, and utility requirements Review plans and specifications and identify construction requirements Ensure work is installed safely and in accordance with project requirements Maintain daily communication with project management regarding progress, issues, and upcoming needs Assist with planning, sequencing, and execution of tie-ins and commissioning activities Identify material, equipment, labor, and subcontractor needs before they impact production
Qualifications:
Experience constructing steel natural gas utility pipelines Experience coordinating welding operations and inspection requirements Understanding of pipeline coating systems and testing requirements Ability to coordinate field crews, specialty subcontractors, inspectors, and utility representatives Strong problem-solving and communication skills Federal, utility, or industrial project experience preferred
Pay:
$100.00 - $150.00 per hour
