Landfill Gas Technician

Job Title:

Landfill Gas Technician Job Description We are seeking a dedicated landfill gas technician to support our O&M efforts across multiple sites. This candidate will be performing work with the Gas Collection and Control System (GCCS) specifically for monitoring and tuning wellfield across three landfills.

This role involves hands-on work:

tuning & monitoring, pulling pumps/pump maintenance, and surface emissions monitoring, etc. Access to company vehicles and heavy equipment will be provided. Responsibilities Utilize gas analyzers to read and tune the landfill gas wellfield Pull pumps, perform maintenance and rebuild as needed. Utilize company vehicles and heavy equipment to facilitate project completion. Coordinate with other team members to ensure timely and efficient project execution. Essential Skills 3+ years of experience in landfill gas and operations & maintenance is ideal. Will consider candidates with less experience and pay will vary. Proficiency in reading software, data collection, and field sampling. Mechanical aptitude and experience in construction environments. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in the landfill gas industry is highly preferred; natural gas experience will also be considered. 40-Hour

HAZWOPER

certification is a plus. Experience operating excavators is a significant advantage. Work Environment This role involves traveling between three local sites north of Charlotte, NC, to oversee and complete various projects as they arise. The successful candidate will bring previous industry experience from the landfill gas industry. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charlotte, NC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
