Job Description

An industry leading multidisciplinary firm is seeking a strategic and driven Director of Landscape Architecture to lead and expand their practice. This leadership role is responsible for guiding department operations, elevating design quality, managing complex municipal and public-sector projects, and setting the long-term vision for growth. The Director will play a key role in shaping organizational priorities, strengthening client partnerships, and developing future leaders.

Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & StrategyProvide direction and oversight for the Landscape Architecture teamDefine and implement strategies for growth, performance, and market expansionEstablish and uphold design standards and technical best practicesContribute to business planning, forecasting, and resource managementProject & Design OversightLead delivery of complex, high-profile public-sector projectsEnsure design quality, consistency, and innovation across all workOversee project execution, including scope, budget, and scheduleClient & Market DevelopmentServe as a trusted advisor to key clientsDrive business development through proposals, presentations, and negotiationsIdentify new opportunities and represent the organization in the industryTeam Leadership & DevelopmentGrow, mentor, and lead a high-performing teamSupport professional growth and performance managementCultivate a collaborative, inclusive, and forward-thinking cultureCollaborationPartner with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholdersPromote coordination across teams to ensure successful project deliveryQualificationsDegree in Landscape ArchitectureRegistered Landscape Architect (Florida preferred or ability to obtain within 6 months)12+ years of progressive experience, including leadership responsibilitiesDemonstrated success in municipal/public-sector project deliveryProficiency in AutoCAD; experience with Civil 3D, Revit, or similar tools preferredFamiliarity with visualization software and Adobe Creative SuiteStrong leadership, communication, and business development capabilities
