Job Description

An industry leading multidisciplinary firm is seeking a strategic and driven Director of Landscape Architecture to lead and expand their practice. This leadership role is responsible for guiding department operations, elevating design quality, managing complex municipal and public-sector projects, and setting the long-term vision for growth. The Director will play a key role in shaping organizational priorities, strengthening client partnerships, and developing future leaders. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Strategy Provide direction and oversight for the Landscape Architecture team Define and implement strategies for growth, performance, and market expansion Establish and uphold design standards and technical best practices Contribute to business planning, forecasting, and resource management Project & Design Oversight Lead delivery of complex, high-profile public-sector projects Ensure design quality, consistency, and innovation across all work Oversee project execution, including scope, budget, and schedule Client & Market Development Serve as a trusted advisor to key clients Drive business development through proposals, presentations, and negotiations Identify new opportunities and represent the organization in the industry Team Leadership & Development Grow, mentor, and lead a high-performing team Support professional growth and performance management Cultivate a collaborative, inclusive, and forward-thinking culture Collaboration Partner with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders Promote coordination across teams to ensure successful project delivery Qualifications Degree in Landscape Architecture Registered Landscape Architect (Florida preferred or ability to obtain within 6 months) 12+ years of progressive experience, including leadership responsibilities Demonstrated success in municipal/public-sector project delivery Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with Civil 3D, Revit, or similar tools preferred Familiarity with visualization software and Adobe Creative Suite Strong leadership, communication, and business development capabilities Get job alerts Share Copied to clipboard Related roles Medical Equipment Planning Project Manager
