This role is essential in delivering an elevated customer experience while ensuring all design selections, documentation, and communication are completed accurately and on schedule. The Design Consultant conducts Design Studio Orientation Tours, Welcome Calls, Selection Appointments, and Review & Authorization Appointments while assisting homeowners with selecting standard features, upgrades, and investment options that align with their lifestyle, design aesthetic, and budget. Responsibilities include entering customer selections and inventory home options into NewStar Sales, preparing and processing contracts, addenda, change orders, deposits, agreement alterations, and showroom documentation, as well as creating accurate redlines and layouts for structural, electrical, cabinetry, flooring, decorative tile, millwork, low voltage, outdoor living, and other home features. Working closely with Sales, Purchasing, Construction, Customer Service, Warranty, CEAs, and the Closing Department, the Design Consultant ensures timely communication, accurate documentation uploads to Community Drive, Build Pro, and CMS, completion of pre-permitting tasks, and seamless coordination throughout the construction process. This role also partners with the Director of Design Studios, Design Manager, and Purchasing team to maintain Design Studio merchandising, labeling, option lists, and updated sample displays while supporting inventory and model home selection processes.
