MCLA is currently seeking a Landscape Architect / Landscape Designer with 2-7+ years of professional experience in residential landscape design. The ideal candidate will have a strong design sensibility, technical proficiency, and experience working on a wide range of high-end residential projects from concept through implementation. No phone calls please. Requirements Ability to develop creative, buildable design solutions from initial concept through detailed design development and construction documentation. Strong understanding of landscape construction methods, materials, detailing, and project sequencing. Experience preparing quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and project budgets, with a clear understanding of real-world pricing and constructability. Ability to coordinate effectively with contractors, vendors, and internal construction teams throughout all phases of a project. Experience with construction oversight and field coordination preferred, including site visits and responding to field conditions. Excellent client communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey design intent, project costs, and construction processes while maintaining a high level of service. Strong knowledge of regional plant materials, installation practices, and long-term performance. Proficiency in producing clear, accurate construction documents, details, and graphic presentations. Highly organized, with the ability to manage documentation, schedules, and multiple active projects in a fast-paced environment. Flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to work in a hands-on design-build setting where priorities may evolve. Education An undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited landscape architecture program is preferred. Licensure is preferred, but not required. Proficient in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft suite, Lumion, and SketchUp.
