Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Landscape Supervisor to lead our landscape construction team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces. This role involves overseeing landscape construction projects, ensuring high-quality workmanship, and fostering a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities :
Project Supervision and Leadership:
Lead, direct, and supervise a team of landscape workers in the construction and installation of landscaping projects. Communicate daily with project managers, designers, and clients to ensure the project stays on schedule and within budget. Ensure that work meets design specifications and quality standards.
Site Management:
Review landscape design plans and blueprints to ensure proper understanding of the scope of work. Oversee site preparation, including grading, planting, irrigation, hardscaping, and installation of outdoor structures (e.g., patios, walls, walkways) Monitor safety standards and ensure the team is following all safety protocols on-site.
Materials and Equipment Management:
Manage and track materials, tools, and equipment required for projects, ensuring availability and proper handling. Maintain an organized work environment and ensure all tools and equipment are functioning properly.
Team Coordination and Training:
Train and mentor crew members on proper landscaping techniques, equipment use, and safety standards. Resolve on-site conflicts and ensure smooth workflow among the team. Conduct regular performance reviews of the crew and provide constructive feedback.
Quality Control:
Perform quality control checks throughout the construction process, ensuring that all work is completed to a high standard. Troubleshoot issues and implement solutions to maintain quality and efficiency. Inspect finished work to ensure it meets both design expectations and client satisfaction.
Client Communication:
Provide updates and communicate effectively with clients regarding project progress, changes, and any potential delays. Address client concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of daily work, crew attendance, project timelines, and material usage. Report any incidents, equipment issues, or other relevant occurrences to project managers or supervisors.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in landscape construction or related fields, with experience in a leadership role. Strong knowledge of landscape design, hardscaping, irrigation systems, and outdoor construction. Ability to read and interpret landscape designs, blueprints, and construction plans. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with construction tools, machinery, and safety regulations. Ability to manage time and resources effectively to ensure project deadlines are met. Valid driver's license and the ability to operate various landscaping equipment. 2A/1
C Massachusetts Hoisting License Drivers License Physical Requirements:
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Physical stamina to lift heavy materials and perform manual labor as needed. Comfortable working on feet for long hours and using hand tools or power equipment.
