Job Description

Join a well-established and busy Land Surveying & Civil Engineering Firm (50+ years in operation)! Close to NYC, on Metro North's Hudson Line in Cold Spring, NY (Hudson Valley). We're seeking a Licensed Landscape Architect who is experienced in land development and site design, and who is ambitious and motivated to contribute creative vision, technical expertise, and strategic ideas to further grow our Land Development Division.

Perform and manage standard computations and analysis, prepare reports, permit applications, and develop CAD design drawings. Develop detailed site, grading, utility and erosion and sediment control plans. Design storm water management, minor water and wastewater design, roadway and parking design and construction detailing and specifications. Apply creative and technical landscape architectural design principles to a wide range of land development projects. Prepare conceptual designs, site plans, grading and planting plans, landscape details, and specifications. Develop sustainable landscape solutions including green infrastructure, stormwater integration, and low-impact development strategies. Perform site analysis, zoning and code review, and environmental assessments. Coordinate with civil engineers, surveyors, planners, and municipal agencies. Prepare permit applications and support public approvals and presentations. Develop proposals for professional services. Provide project and Client Management. Participate in public meetings, client presentations, and community engagement efforts.

Licensed Landscape Architect (PLA/RLA). Experience in a professional consulting environment. Proficient computer skills (including Microsoft Suite) + design skills (including AutoCAD Civil 3D and HydroCAD). Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in time management and excellent attention to detail. Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment (with an assistant) on multiple deadlines. Pay:
$80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
