Job Title:
Senior Landscape Architect/Residential Garden Designer Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Landscape Architect/Residential Garden Designer with a strong background in high‑end residential landscape design and project delivery. This role requires a minimum of 10 years of residential garden design experience , with design‑build experience strongly preferred. Candidates must meet all listed qualifications to be considered. Education & Credentials Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture (BSLA) required Professional licensure in Landscape Architecture, or active progress toward licensure Minimum 10 years of professional residential garden design experience Experience in a professional landscape architecture or design office (5-8 years minimum) Core Responsibilities Lead the design of high‑end residential gardens from concept through construction Build and maintain strong residential client relationships Manage and sell all phases of the project lifecycle, including design, construction, and installation Prepare full drawing sets including conceptual layouts, construction documents, pricing packages, and site observation reports Apply technical expertise in construction detailing, grading, drainage, and plant selection (Changed Order) Assist with project bidding, subcontractor coordination, and vendor relationships (This is PM role) Conduct site visits, lead client meetings, review proposals, and resolve project issues Assist with project time, budgets, and financial performance Provide project management across multiple project types and scales, including residential, commercial, and hospitality (REMOVE) this is PM Role Mentor junior staff and contribute to business development efforts Required Skills & Competencies Proven expertise in high‑end residential garden design Strong client communication and relationship‑building skills Sales ability to secure design, construction, and installation phases (changed order) Ability to identify and proactively address project challenges Strong project management and organizational skills Technical proficiency in construction detailing, grading, and horticulture Ability to produce complete drawing sets from concept through construction documentation Skilled in problem‑solving, team coordination, and issue resolution Software & Technical Proficiency CAD software (AutoCAD or equivalent) 3D modeling toolsAdobe Suite:
Acrobat, Photoshop, InDesign Microsoft Office:
