In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting timber and related products from forest sites to processing facilities or designated locations. Your expertise in operating various types of trucks and trailers, along with your commitment to safety and efficiency, will ensure timely deliveries and uphold our high standards of service. Responsibilities Operate a variety of commercial trucks including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, and other specialized hauling equipment. Drive route-specific deliveries across designated areas, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Ensure proper securing of loads to prevent shifting or damage during transit. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety standards. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance records. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to coordinate schedules and delivery details. Requirements Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with relevant endorsements for tractor-trailers, tankers, flatbeds, or refrigerated trailers. Proven experience in truck driving, especially in freight delivery or route driving within forestry or construction industries. Ability to load & unload freight efficiently using appropriate tools and safety procedures. Knowledge of safety protocols related to hauling timber. Strong attention to detail for vehicle inspections, load securing, and documentation accuracy. Physical ability to handle long hours outdoors in varying weather conditions.
