Job Summary We are looking for a load builder to help us prepare our lumber packages for delivery and for will-call. This position is full-time, Monday through Friday. Shift times will vary depending on workload and season. You are You are in great physical shape, and you enjoy working with your hands. You aren't fazed by the elements and are capable of working outside in the hot sun and cold rain. You appreciate working with quality and well-maintained equipment. You would describe yourself as organized and detail-oriented and have some knowledge of the lumber and construction industry or are willing to learn new skills. Responsibilities Prepare lumber packages for delivery by our trucks and for will-call by our customers Pull lumber out of racks for customers Stock yard and keep it organized and safe Load and unload trucks Operate a forklift and adhere to all safety protocols Qualifications Candidates for this job must be safety oriented. Have to pay attention to detail. Are in good physical condition; to "throw lumber around". Must be capable of working outside in all weather conditions. Have good people skills and be service oriented. Preferably have experience building loads and have experience with a forklift. Ideally have knowledge of lumber and building materials. Should have high school diplomas or general education degrees (GED). Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Must be at least 18 years old Forklift certification (We train forklift operators on the job.) Benefits At Chinook, we see our staff as a team.
