Summary:

This position is part of a Team responsible for the long-term stabilization of the limestone mine structure. The person occupying this position will ensure a safe and structurally sound facility through the execution of an engineered mine plan consisting of a variety of ground stabilization methods. The person occupying this position is expected to represent the Erlen Group in a professional and courteous manner. Stabilization Operator 1

Duties/Responsibilities:

Inspect rock columns and ceilings predominantly in an undeveloped underground mine Remove loose material found on rock surfaces by hand scaling and/or with a mechanical scaling machine in a safe manner Operate various types of heavy equipment and mining equipment Assist with ground stabilization methods, i.e., roof bolting, roof mats, shotcrete, grout injection, pillar wraps, etc. Perform preventative maintenance or other minor repairs to ensure that equipment is in good working order Perform work in a safe manner and comply with safety programs and policies Stabilization Operator 1

Skills/Abilities:

High level of comfort with scaling/mining operations, heights, and physical exertion Attention to detail and heightened awareness of safety Self-motivated with the ability to work independently Strong verbal communication Strong problem solving skills Stabilization Operator 1

Education/Experience:

Required:

Valid Drivers' License Preferred:

Underground mining experience

Preferred:

Heavy equipment operator with a valid CDL Stabilization Operator 1 Physical and/or

Travel Requirements:

Frequent lifting of up to 80 pounds Long periods of overhead work must be tolerated The ability to bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods of time Stabilization Operator 1
