What We're Looking For:

We're hiring experienced Backhoe Operators to support underground utility construction including trenching, excavation, and utility installation.

Responsibilities:

Operate backhoe for trenching, excavation, grading, and backfilling Safely expose existing underground utilities Perform precise excavation around live utilities to prevent damage Support installation of fiber, telecom, gas, water, and sewer Read and follow utility locates, job layouts, and grade requirements Maintain proper trench depth, alignment, and spoil placement Work closely with ground crew to ensure safe and efficient operations Perform routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance

Requirements:

1+ year backhoe experience in underground utility or construction setting Able to pass drug screen and background check Experience working around live utilities (gas, electric, fiber, water, sewer) Ability to read locates and job layouts Strong safety awareness and damage prevention mindset Valid driver's license required; CDL required
