Job Description

Job Summary:
Unexperienced Miner - Surface Mine We are seeking a motivated and dependable individual to join our surface mining team as an Unexperienced Miner . This entry-level position is designed for individuals interested in starting a career in the mining industry, with a focus on surface mining operations. No prior mining experience is required; comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided. The Unexperienced Miner will assist with daily operations, including the safe operation of equipment, material handling, and site maintenance. This role requires a commitment to safety, teamwork, and a willingness to work in outdoor conditions under varying weather conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the operation and maintenance of surface mining equipment under supervision. Assist with loading, hauling, and material extraction activities. Perform routine inspections and report potential safety hazards. Maintain a clean and organized worksite. Participate in safety meetings and adhere to all company safety standards and procedures. Follow instructions from senior team members and supervisors.
Qualifications:
No prior mining experience is necessary; a strong work ethic and eagerness to learn are essential. Ability to work 8-12-hour shifts, including weekends as required. Comfortable working outdoors in varying environmental conditions. Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment. Physically fit and able to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) as part of routine tasks. Valid driver's license preferred.
