Shop Hand/ Floating Technician

Shop Hand Job Description Position:

Shop Hand Overview:

The Shop Hand supports daily operations by maintaining the shop, assisting technicians, preparing equipment and materials, and helping ensure routes run smoothly. This position also serves as a backup pool service technician and may cover pool service routes as needed. Responsibilities Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop. Load and unload trucks with equipment, chemicals, and supplies. Organize inventory and restock technician vehicles. Receive deliveries and keep inventory accurate. Assist with equipment repairs, installations, and maintenance. Clean and test pool equipment before installation. Pick up and deliver parts and supplies. Assist with warehouse organization and general labor tasks. Keep company vehicles clean and stocked. Cover weekly pool service routes as needed , including cleaning pools, testing and balancing water chemistry, emptying baskets, brushing, vacuuming, and reporting equipment issues. Follow all company safety procedures and provide excellent customer service. Qualifications Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Able to lift up to 75 lbs. Reliable, punctual, and willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Mechanical aptitude is a plus. Pool service experience is preferred but not required (training provided). Physical Requirements Frequent lifting, bending, walking, climbing, and working outdoors. Ability to safely handle pool chemicals and equipment. This position requires flexibility, teamwork, and a positive attitude to help support both shop operations and field technicians.

Pay:

$20.00 - $27.00 per hour
