Oil Change Technician

Job Summary Superior Quick lube is family owned business that has been handed down from father to son. We have been around for 17 years. We just expanded our business to a much bigger shop on a lot busier highway. We are looking for someone to join our team and keep us moving forward with success. We need someone that is quick on there feet, that handles a busy environment well. We take pride in our reputation with no longer then 10 minute oil changes. We need someone that stands out and not afraid to have conversations with customers while they are busy changing oil. We want all of customers feel at home when they come see us. An oil change technician is expect to perform routine vehicle maintenance efficiently, accurately, and safely, while also communicating effectively with team members and customers. Technical duties Perform oil and filter changes : efficiently drain engine oil from the crankcase and replace the oil filter, refilling with the correct type and amount of oil specified by the manufacture. conduct vehicle inspections : perform multi-point inspections on all vehicles, checking for general wear and tear, potential safety issues, and leaks in the engine or transmission. Check and Replenish fluids : inspect and top off all vital fluid levels, including transmission, brake, power steering, coolant, and windshield washer fluids. Tire services : check and adjust tire pressure. may also be expected to perform tire rotations and basic tire repairs. Replace filters and parts : inspect and replace other components such as air filters, cabin filters, and windshield wiper as needed or requested. Operational & interpersonal Expectations Safety and compliance: adhere to all federal, state, and local, and company safety regulations and procedures, including the proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.

Documentation and record keeping:

accurately document all oil changes in management systems, ensuring detailed service records for each vehicle.

Communication:

clearly and professionally communicate any additional service or repair needs discovered during an inspection to the service adviser or customer.

Teamwork:

collaborate effectively with other techs and staff members, assisting where needed to maintain workflow and efficiency in fast-paced environment.

Shop maintenance:

maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, which includes cleaning the shop floor and ensuring all tools and equipment are properly maintained.

Professionalism:

present a professional appearance and positive attitude when interacting with customers and fellow employees.
