Irrigation Technician

Overview We are hiring an experienced Irrigation Service Technician focused on diagnostics, troubleshooting, and system improvement. This is a professional service role. You will independently manage service calls, create estimates, communicate with customers, and complete work from diagnosis through repair and documentation. This role supports the opportunity to participate in snow and ice management operations during winter, providing year round employment. Responsibilities Electrical troubleshooting (solenoids, shorts, wiring faults) Valve diagnostics and rebuilds Smart controller programming and setup Locate buried valves and wiring faults Pressure regulation and hydraulic problem solving Create service estimates and obtain customer approval Manage work orders in Service Autopilot (time and parts tracking) Complete service calls independently from start to finish Maintain professional appearance (company uniforms provided) Participate in winter snow and ice management operations Required Qualifications 2+ years irrigation field experience with strong service and troubleshooting background Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record Experience using a multimeter Strong diagnostic mindset Professional communication skills Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Willingness to participate in winter operations Preferred Qualifications Irrigation Association certifications (CIT, CLIA) Power Limited Technician (PLT) license Backflow testing certification Valid DOT medical card Compensations and Benefits $26-$35 per hour based on experience and production Performance-based bonuses Health benefits • Retirement account options Paid vacation and PTO Company-issued phone Company-paid certification reimbursement Ongoing technical training Direct mentorship from experienced Irrigation Manager Clear growth path into senior technician roles
