Job Description

Diesel Shop Apprentice Launch your career as a Diesel Shop Apprentice at Gallaher Fleet Solutions at our new Monroe location! This hands-on, fast-paced role is your chance to support our expert technicians and shop operations while learning the essential skills needed to diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines, heavy-duty trucks, and related equipment. Our goal is to develop you into a productive, reliable diesel technician, impacting and improving the lives of people who do work that matters. What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities):
Shop Maintenance & Organization:
Maintain a clean and organized work environment daily (sweeping bays, emptying trash, organizing tools and workbenches). Clean up spills and leaks. Manage the
Oil & Fluid Area:
wipe up oil, clean/empty drain pans, and organize disposal bins.
General Shop Prep & Safety:
Assist with equipment readiness (air compressor, charged batteries, working lights, proper storage of ladders/jacks).
Apprentice Development:
Shadow and assist experienced technicians to learn proper repair methods. Actively learn diagnostic procedures, torque specs, and service information. Build foundational skills in electrical, aftertreatment, brakes, suspension, and preventive maintenance services. -
What You Need :
Mindset:

Physical Ability:
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in a physical environment.
Experience:
Basic mechanical understanding is preferred but not required—we will teach you.
