Job Description

Lead Boiler Service Technician Full-Time | Regional Travel |
OH, MI, IN, KY
We are seeking an experienced Lead Boiler Service Technician to support commercial and industrial boiler systems across multiple regional customer sites. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled technician who enjoys hands-on troubleshooting, mentoring field teams, and delivering high-quality customer service in critical industrial environments. In this role, you will perform startup, inspection, maintenance, repair, and calibration of steam and hot water boilers, burners, combustion systems, controls, and auxiliary boiler room equipment. You will diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues, conduct root cause analysis, and recommend system improvements to enhance performance and reliability. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise along with leadership experience overseeing field technicians and coordinating service work. Candidates should be comfortable communicating directly with customers, managing service documentation, and supporting emergency service calls and planned shutdowns when required.
Qualifications include:
10+ years of experience servicing commercial and industrial boiler systems Strong knowledge of combustion systems, controls, and instrumentation Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting expertise Ability to read schematics, CAD drawings, and technical manuals Experience using diagnostic and testing equipment Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regionally Leadership or supervisory experience and OEM training certifications are highly preferred.
