Job Description
K&K Repair Service is seeking an experienced Senior Gas Compression Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working on natural gas compression equipment, engines, and compressors in the field. This position requires strong troubleshooting and repair skills, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to safety and customer service. Candidates must be willing to participate in an on-call rotation and work nights as needed. Qualifications & Requirements Minimum 10 years of natural gas compression experience. Extensive troubleshooting and repair experience with: Caterpillar 3500 Series engines Caterpillar 3600 A3/A4 engines Caterpillar 3300 Series engines Caterpillar CG137 engines Proficient in the use of Caterpillar Electronic Technician (CAT ET) software for diagnostics and troubleshooting. Ability to test, tune, and optimize natural gas engines using an emissions analyzer. Extensive troubleshooting and repair experience with: Waukesha 5794 engines Waukesha 7044 engines Experience operating, maintaining, and overhauling Ariel compressors. Ability to perform preventative maintenance on gas compression equipment and field units. Ability to safely start up and shut down field compression units. Strong understanding of mechanical systems and field troubleshooting procedures. Ability to communicate professionally with customers and team members. Must adhere to all K&K Repair Service safety policies and customer-specific safety requirements. Must be willing to work a rotating schedule, including on-call assignments, overtime, nights, weekends, and emergency call-outs as needed. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to safely operate a company-provided vehicle. Preferred Skills Strong problem-solving and diagnostic abilities. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
