Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and skilled Pump Rig Operator to join our dynamic team in the oil and gas industry. In this vital role, you will operate and maintain pump rigs used in drilling and production operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and precise handling of heavy equipment on construction sites and oil rigs. Your expertise will contribute to the successful installation, operation, and maintenance of pipeline systems and drilling projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology while adhering to strict safety standards. Responsibilities Operate pump rigs and associated heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and tankers to support drilling and pipeline installation activities Set up and rig equipment safely on construction sites or oil rigs, following detailed procedures and safety protocols Conduct routine inspections of mechanical components, troubleshoot issues, and perform necessary repairs to ensure optimal operation Assist with horizontal drilling operations by managing fluid circulation systems and supporting directional drilling processes Follow OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) guidelines to maintain a safe working environment at all times Coordinate with team members to execute project tasks efficiently while adhering to project timelines Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance logs, and safety inspections Skills Proven experience operating oil rig equipment, heavy machinery, or similar construction site machinery Strong mechanical knowledge related to pumps, pipelines, rigging, and hydraulic systems Familiarity with horizontal drilling techniques used in oil & gas extraction projects Ability to operate forklifts, excavators, cranes, tankers, and commercial vehicles safely and effectively Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and construction site safety practices Experience with rigging procedures for lifting heavy components safely Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) preferred for driving tanker trucks or other large vehicles Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and supervisors This role is perfect for individuals eager to work in a fast-paced environment where safety is paramount.
