Job Title:
UST AST Installation Job Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and closure of Underground Storage Tanks (USTs) and Aboveground Storage Tanks (ASTs) in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations The UST/AST Specialist will ensure the safe and efficient operation of petroleum storage systems, conduct system testing and troubleshooting, and maintain detailed documentation for regulatory submittals The role requires strong technical expertise, a commitment to safety, and the ability to coordinate field operations and supervise subcontractors and laborers as needed Perform installation, repair, upgrade, and removal of petroleum storage systems in accordance with state and federal regulations Conduct system testing, integrity assessments, and troubleshooting for UST and AST systems Ensure all work complies with environmental regulations Maintain accurate site logs and documentation for regulatory submittals and inspections Coordinate subcontractors and laborers during field operations as needed Respond to emergency spill situations and oversee initial mitigation and reporting Collaborate with project managers and environmental consultants on project scopes and job sequencing Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and environmental compliance Operate equipment such as excavators and mini track hoes as needed Stay current on regulatory changes and industry best practices Support miscellaneous projects, including compliance testing and environmental site assessmentsQualification Guidelines:
Minimum of 3 years as a fuel installer, or equivalent role in the fuel industry An understanding of the fuel industry and job site safety requirements Knowledge and experience with the rules and regulations concerning UST/AST guidelines Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications Must be able to travel withinArizona License or Certificate:
Must have a valid driver's license of the appropriate class Must have an ICC or a state UST Install License; or an A&B License Must have an OSHA 10-hourCertificate Physical Requirements:
Must be able to access and navigate all areas of construction site in all types of weather. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
