Job Description

Well Swabbing Operations Consultant Ground-floor opportunity with a PRB startup — your expertise shapes the operation. A new oilfield services venture is launching in the Powder River Basin. We have operator relationships, a clear market, and a defined plan. What we need is someone who has spent a career in the field and knows well swabbing operations from the ground up — equipment, crews, clients, and the PRB itself. This is a consulting engagement to start. If the fit is right, it grows into something more. We are not looking for a resume — we are looking for the person who built their career doing this work and is ready to put that knowledge to use on something new.
THE ROLE
You will advise on the design and launch of a two-unit swabbing operation. The scope of your engagement will be defined together based on your experience and availability. Details of the business — including operator relationships, equipment plan, and compensation structure — are shared after an initial conversation.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
10 or more years of hands-on well swabbing experience in oil and gas production or completions Deep familiarity with swabbing equipment — rigs, wire rope, stuffing boxes, toolstrings, and maintenance Experience operating or supervising operations in the Powder River Basin specifically Someone who can evaluate equipment, spot problems before they happen, and train a crew to do things right CDL preferred; H2S and OSHA certifications a plus
WHAT THIS IS
AND IS NOT
This is an initial consulting engagement, not a permanent hire. You may be retired, semi-retired, currently employed, or between jobs. We are flexible on structure. We are not flexible on experience — the right person has done this work for a long time and knows the PRB. If you are a veteran swabber who has ever thought about being part of building something rather than just working for someone else, this is worth a conversation.
