- The
- Gas Foreman
- leads the crew to complete daily tasks related to the installation and repair of natural gas pipelines and/or joint trench utilities for power and telephone in a safe and correct manner.
- Minimum
- + A High School Degree, or equivalent + A minimum of 3 years of experience with gas pipeline construction or maintenance, with 2 years of supervisory experience + Be proficiency in fusing, tapping, pressure testing, and purging + Must have a CDL Class A license, or obtain one within 30 days of hire date + OSHA 10 Certification + Must have knowledge of gas, and how to safely work with it + Knowledge of customer's specifications, being able to read and interpret prints + Be proficiency in all phases of the line in construction + Must follow proper safety standards, procedures, and work practices according to MasTec and/or project customer, whichever standard is higher at all times + Ability to talk with customers' inspectors and have a sense of customer service + Must have experience in operating heavy equipment and general construction + Ability to visually inspect fusion or welded joints, spot utilities, and locate marks on the ground by color + Clarity of vision at 20 feet or more or 20 inches or less, with the ability to judge distance and space relationships + Precise hand-eye coordination + Ability to identify and distinguish colors + Ability to work outdoors, even in extreme weather conditions.
- Preferred
- Previous experience with Atmos Gas is preferred.
