Job Description

DERRICK RIG OPERATOR
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Derrick Rig Operator and become an essential part of the oil and gas industry's energy production. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining heavy equipment on oil rigs and construction sites, ensuring safe and efficient drilling operations. Your expertise will help drive successful pipeline projects, horizontal drilling operations, and other vital activities that keep energy flowing. This position offers a challenging, fast-paced environment where your mechanical skills and safety awareness will make a real impact. Duties Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and tanker trucks to support drilling and construction activities on oil rigs and pipeline sites Assist with rigging procedures to set up and secure equipment for safe operation Conduct routine inspections of machinery to identify maintenance needs and prevent breakdowns Support horizontal drilling operations by managing equipment positioning and alignment Follow OSHA safety standards diligently, ensuring compliance with all safety protocols on-site Coordinate with team members to execute complex tasks like lifting, moving, and installing large components Maintain detailed logs of equipment usage, maintenance activities, and operational incidents Requirements Proven experience working on oil rigs or construction sites involving heavy equipment operation Mechanical knowledge related to oil & gas industry machinery and pipeline systems Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations and best practices for construction site safety Hands-on experience with rigging, excavators, cranes, forklifts, and tanker trucks Knowledge of horizontal drilling techniques and equipment handling Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) preferred for operating tanker or large transport vehicles Ability to work in physically demanding environments withstanding outdoor conditions for extended periods This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to advance their careers in the oil & gas sector. Pay:
$24.61 - $29.64 per hour
