Heavy Equipment Operator

Trent Thrasher Construction, LLC is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team! A Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for safely operating machinery used in construction, excavation, and material handling. This includes equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, loaders, dump trucks, and graders. The operator ensures work is completed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company and regulatory standards.

Candidate Requirements:

Strong hand-eye coordination and depth perception Ability to operate equipment with precision and control Good communication and teamwork skills Mechanical knowledge for basic troubleshooting Ability to work in various weather conditions

Position Responsibilities:

Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, graders, and dump trucks Perform tasks including digging, grading, trenching, lifting, and material movement Conduct daily equipment inspections (pre- and post-operation) Identify and report mechanical issues or needed repairs Follow site plans, grade stakes, and instructions from supervisors Maintain a safe work environment and follow all safety procedures Work alongside crew members to complete projects on time Ensure proper handling of materials to prevent damage or waste Maintain accurate logs of equipment usage and hours

Additional Requirements:

• Must be able to perform physical activities such as, but not limited to, lifting equipment, bending, standing, climbing or walking
• Must be able to safely use manual and mechanical power tools and equipment
• Must hold a valid driver's license

Compensation/Benefits Package:

• This is an hourly wage position. Hourly pay based on experience and qualifications.
• Fulltime. 6am-4:30pm, Monday - Thursday and Friday 6am - 2:30 p.m. Overtime pay after 40 hours in a week. Pay via direct deposit every week.

Holidays:

After 90 days, all team members are eligible for the following paid holidays: New Year's Day, July 4th, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day!
