Heavy Equipment Operator (Wheel Loader, Excavator) Devout Excavation LLC - Cottonwood, AZ Full‑time | Family‑Owned Devout Excavation LLC , a family‑owned excavation and land‑development contractor, is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator with experience operating wheel loaders, excavators, We work in new housing land development, utility installation, site prep, grading, and demolition. We're looking for dependable, safety‑minded operators who take pride in their work and enjoy being part of a close‑knit team. Responsibilities Operate wheel loaders, excavators, and small dozers safely and efficiently Excavate trenches for water, sewer, and storm drain utility installation Perform fine‑grading, backfilling, trench shaping, and material handling Assist with site prep, drainage installation, roadway building, and demolition Follow grade stakes, cut/fill maps, and work with grade checkers Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs Safely operate around ground crews and maintain awareness of surroundings Assist with general labor tasks when needed (shoveling, raking, cleanup) Communicate clearly with laborers, operators, and supervisors Requirements Experience operating excavators, wheel loaders Understanding of grading, elevations, and cut/fill requirements Experience working around underground utilities Ability to work outdoors in Arizona weather conditions Strong work ethic, dependability, and teamwork skills Reliable transportation to and from job sites Preferred Qualifications Experience with Trimble GPS or other grade‑control systems Ability to read construction plans, markings, and grade maps Experience in subdivision/site‑development projects CDL (not required but a plus) What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Full‑time, steady work throughout Cottonwood Family‑oriented team environment Work Location Job sites throughout Cottonwood, AZ , How to Apply Apply directly through Indeed OR email your resume to lquern@devoutexcavation.com OR call/text 208-818-0951
