Equipment Operator

Job Title:

Water Truck driver Job Description As an Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for driving approximately 80 miles per day and operating a Freightliner M2 three-axle, 4,000-gallon, 6-speed manual transmission vehicle. The role includes training on the specifics of water systems and requires 1-2 years of experience with CDL A or CDL B licenses. This position follows a schedule of Monday to Friday from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with additional overtime as needed, including Saturday shifts from 5:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Responsibilities Apply water to designated areas as required. Report any vehicle issues, such as mechanical problems or necessary repairs. Follow all safety precautions and adhere to all DOT rules and regulations. Occasionally drive on roadways and haul equipment. Fill the water tank using hoses or other equipment at designated water sources. Operate the water truck's spray system to ensure even water distribution for dust control, compaction, or other site requirements. Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager. Valid Class A driver's license with a clean DMV driving record. Tanker Vehicle Endorsement certificate. Tank and Hazardous Material Endorsement certificate. Minimum of 2 years of driving experience with the Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Prior driving experience with manual transmission. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Arvin, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.30 - $21.30/hr.
