Job Description

This role operates one or more types of heavy equipment including excavators, dozers, backhoes, compactors, articulated dump trucks, and front end loaders to support earth moving activities at environmental remediation sites. Equipment may utilize CAT or John Deere control configurations. The position also performs routine inspections and minor maintenance or repairs to ensure safe and reliable operation.
Primary Responsibilities:
Safely and efficiently operate assigned heavy equipment with precision, coordination, and strong situational awareness. Maintain sustained focus while operating equipment for extended periods, consistently adhering to safety standards and jobsite protocols. Demonstrate working knowledge of equipment capabilities and limitations including load weight restrictions to prevent overloading or destabilization of machinery. Qualifications 4+ years of work experience on civil projects 5+ years of experience working as an equipment operator Proven experience operating excavators, bulldozers, backhoes, compactors, articulated dump trucks, and front end loaders. High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Current 40-Hour HAZWOPER and 8-Hour
HAZWOPER
Refresher (preferred) Trained and certified to operate the assigned equipment Ability to read grading plans and cut and fill stakes. Ability to travel to local project sites. Ability to adapt to changing conditions Pay rate: $30-$43/hr DOE
