Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Haul Truck Driver specializing in heavy equipment operation within a vibrant rock quarry environment. In this role, you will be at the forefront of efficient material transportation, ensuring the smooth movement of minerals for production and stockpiling. Your expertise will help maintain safety standards while maximizing productivity on-site. Duties Operate large haul trucks and other heavy equipment such as excavators, front end loaders, water trucks, dozers, and graders, to transport materials across the quarry site efficiently. Conduct pre-operation inspections on all equipment to ensure safety and optimal functioning, including Caterpillar and other heavy machinery brands. Follow all safety protocols and procedures during equipment operation to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with industry standards. Collaborate with team members to coordinate material movement, loading, and unloading processes while maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Perform routine maintenance checks on machinery; report any mechanical issues promptly for repairs or servicing. Support other mining activities on-site by operating additional equipment like loaders or water trucks as required. Qualifications Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with experience operating large haul trucks, or heavy equipment in a quarry setting. Mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment including excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, tankers, and horizontal drilling machinery. Proven experience working on construction sites with familiarity in excavation and material handling operations. Strong understanding of safety practices related to heavy equipment operation and quarry environments. Ability to perform routine maintenance checks and basic troubleshooting on heavy machinery such as Caterpillar equipment. Prior experience operating dump trucks and performing site logistics within a rock quarry or similar industrial setting is highly desirable.
