Hydrovac Swamper/Operator — Pawnee Waste LLC | Grover, CO $29.40 - $31.20/hr | Full-Time About the Role Pawnee Waste LLC is hiring a Hydrovac Swamper/Operator to join our operations team at our Grover, CO landfill facility. This is a full-time, year-round position with consistent hours and a clear path from ground support to independent equipment operation — all backed by a stable, continuously operating facility. What You'll Do Serve as ground support during vacuum excavation and hydrovac operations Set up and break down work zones, handle hose deployment and retrieval, and manage spoils/slurry disposal Monitor active work areas for safety hazards and assist with truck spotting and maneuvering Assist with pre- and post-trip inspections and maintain accurate records of work performed Comply with all safety policies, SOPs, and applicable regulations Progress toward independent operation of the hydrovac truck, including potholing, slot trenching, and debris removal Work alongside management and crew in a team-oriented environment What We're Looking For Prior experience in construction, excavation, utilities, or a related industrial field (preferred) Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred or willingness to obtain Basic knowledge of safe excavation practices and utility awareness Strong situational awareness and a genuine commitment to safety Dependable, team-oriented, and able to work in a physically demanding outdoor environment Experienced operators: CDL (Class A or B) and 2+ years of hydrovac or vacuum excavation experience strongly preferred; DOT medical certificate required What We Offer $29.40 - $31.20 per hour, DOE Stable, full-time schedule at an established 24/7 operation A defined path from Swamper to Operator as skills develop Consistent work Working Conditions This role is performed on-site and in the field. Expect outdoor work in varying weather, exposure to dust, noise, and regulated materials, and frequent physical activity including lifting up to 50 lbs. PPE is required and provided.
