Full Job Description Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Equipment Operator to join our team. We are a small, family owned commercial/residential site work construction company. As an Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery and equipment to assist in construction, excavation, and other related projects. This is a full-time position with pay based on experience.Duties:
- Operate bulldozers, loaders, dump trucks, backhoes
- Safely and efficiently operate equipment to complete assigned tasks
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete projects on time and within specifications
- Adhere to project plans and blueprints to accurately execute tasks
- Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work area
Qualifications:
- Commercial driving experience is plus
- Proven experience operating heavy machinery such as bulldozers, loaders, dump trucks, front loader trucks, and backhoes
- Mechanical knowledge and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues a plus
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to read and interpret project plans and blueprints and shoot grades is a MUST!
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
Skills:
- Proficient in sitework operation (septic installation/repairs, drainage, site prep, layout skills, able to operate laser and shoot grades)
THESE SKILLS ARE A MUST!
- Experience in commercial driving a plus
- Skilled in loader operation
